Protocol: a system of principles or procedures used to guide practice.
Imaginations shared create collaboration, and collaboration creates community, and community inspires social change.
Research is formalised curiosity. It is poking and prying with a purpose.
Every year approximately 11 000 young Australians come into contact with juvenile justice agencies, and become part of the youth offender population. The majority of these young people have complex personal histories and experience a range of challenges to their physical and psychological health. Many have disengaged from education at an early age. Language impairments, literacy deficits and learning difficulties are prominent in this population. Helping these vulnerable young people is a challenging task. However with collective effort solutions can be found.
If you join a fight for social justice you may win or lose, but just by being part of the struggle, you win, and your life will be better for it.
Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.
